THE women's team from South London Harriers were the club's big success last Saturday at the Reigate Priory Park cross country relays.

Georgie Bruinvels led off for SLH, who eventually came second behind Epsom & Ewell, and was the fastest woman of the day with 15mins 25secs. Pippa Major took over and retained first place with 17:20 but Gemma Marrs slipped to second with 16:52 after a fall.

The women's B team of Ruth Hutton (17:17), Amy Mitchell (18:12) and Viv Mitchell (18:38) were seventh, and the C team of Caroline Cattini (19:06), Kate Hewett (18:57) and Marketa Martins (19:27) were 13th.

SLH's women's D team were 21st and the E team 23rd.

The men's fastest team comprising Ryan Evans (14:50), Michael McManus (14:41), Jim Burdett (15:13), Michael Lloyd (15:09), Mike Airey (16:17) and Stuart Major (13:47) were fifth and the B team of Matt Saunders (18:03), Antonio Martins (17:22), Aaron Odle (17:08), Dave Newland (19:48), Ed Thruston (17:27) and John Foss (16:58) were 18th.
