Stunned Newman left in limbo
Surrey opener Scott Newman is worried cash constraints will hinder his chances of sealing a loan move away from the club.
Brit Oval chief Chris Adams stunned the former Trinity schoolboy last week after slapping the 29-year-old on the loan list.

Anxious: Newman
Newman has endured a tempestuous relationship with Adams and it appears yet another difference in opinion has led to Newman’s demotion.
And the left-handed opener has told the Advertiser that he is at a loss as to why he has been given the elbow – and admits he is anxious over whether he will sample first-class action again this campaign.
“I’ve no idea what triggered the decision,” he said.
“I’m hugely disappointed – but what’s important for me now is to find a club and play first-class cricket.
“The club are allowing me to go out on loan so I have to wait and see what comes up.
“Being in a situation like this is a tough one to crack – particularly with budgets at this time of year.
“I’m worried about not playing again this season.
“Just two weeks ago I was happy and playing cricket for Surrey and now I could miss the rest of the season – it’s difficult to take.”
