Sunshine brings out the crowd
A SUMMER fair in Shirley proved a roaring success with more than 200 visitors and lots of sunshine.
Families were entertained at Saturday's Millers Pond summer fair with games, crafts and historic walks.

There were stalls hosting 26 local organisations from the RSPCA to residents' associations.
Pearl Durling, chairman of the Friends of Millers Pond, the event's organiser, said: "It was just what a community gathering should be – peaceful and fun.
"There was a lovely village fete-type atmosphere, and many people found out more about local organisations that contribute to their area.
"Many visitors who came along were recalling happy memories."
