Could this man be the next winner of The X Factor?

David Branson, 37, has taken part in three auditions for the ITV1 talent show. He is now waiting to hear if he has been selected to appear before the judging panel, which includes Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole.

David, who lives in Ely Road, Selhurst, said: "I'd really like to get on the show. I think Simon Cowell will probably think I'm quite good."

Mr Branson, who has learning difficulties, works at frozen food store Iceland, in Brigstock Road, Thornton Heath. He admitted he would love to become a singer and emulate his idols Robbie Williams and American Kevin Rudolf. He has been having vocal coaching at Community Music Skills, based on London Road, West Croydon.
