“Actually, following another link to another contestant's plea for votes brings up the following, which indicates that not only will a text cost 75p, it will also be wasted money as voting has closed.

"Texted votes and calls from landline telephones will cost 75p but mobile calls may vary. You must be 18+ to vote and have the bill payer's permission. Votes for this heat will be counted between 16th December and 1st January at 11:30pm, votes outside will not be counted and may still be charged."

Having noticed a lot of posts, and some whole threads, in this forum disappear (most frequently, it seems to me, the ones that are discussing important but controversial events) it's not at all reassuring to see them push this kind of thing in such an unprofessional way.”

“Is the Advertiser fully compliant with all relevant regulations here? The first thing I wondered was whether texts to the number given would be free. A quick search online suggests that a text to this number would cost 75p. I question the whole ethos of promoting this kind of thing, and I always thought the cost of texts, phone calls etc. had to be clearly displayed?”

“Sorry Love, You wont get my vote, as I do not believe in the female meat trade.!
You would be better off getting wonderful grades at school instead of this nonsense.”

    “ncb

not the looks for a model? - there are plenty of jobs for models - la Redoute, Argos, Freemans to name a few.

You've only seen the face - what about jobs modelling shoes and engagement rings?”

“Without trying to be rude, she does not have the looks to be a model.

Is this one of those campaigns to get "average" teenage girls to feel better?

She won't get my vote in a beauty contest, sorry.”
