Tia Sharp: Stuart Hazell appears in court accused of murder
The man charged with murdering 12-year-old Tia Sharp has appeared in court.
Stuart Hazell, 37, appeared via Videolink before Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court on Monday morning.
Wearing a grey t-shirt, he did not enter a plea and spoke to confirm his name and date of birth.
When asked if he was aware of the charge he faced, Hazell replied: "Yes I am. Yes."

Hazell, the partner of Tia's grandmother Christine Sharp, is accused of murdering the schoolgirl, who was reported missing on Friday, August 3.
Police discovered a body in the loft of the the home the couple share in The Lindens, New Addington, during a pre-planned search of the property on Friday.
Hazell is due to appear before The Old Bailey on Wednesday, again via Videolink, with a date for a preliminary hearing provisionally set for November 19.
