THE busiest moment of the year for people in Croydon searching online for a new job is 12.38pm today, a company has claimed.

MyJobGroup says the first 'normal' Tuesday after the Christmas break is the day that thousands trawl websites looking for a new career or a new employer, with many making good on a New Year's resolution.

The company said it has analysed statistics from six years of web traffic to reach its conclusion.

Tuesday lunchtimes are the most popular periods, said the business, with the 15 minutes from 12.30pm the peak as workers search during their lunchbreak.

“next week I plan to pass through to the end of King Henry's drive into Sheepbarn lane where I am buying a scaffold tower. I will be driving back, towing my trailer, loaded with scaffolding. What I need to know is:

    a) what is the minimum speed I must maintain in order to arrive at kent Gate Way with all the bits of scaffolding still in the trailer?

or b) should I continue along Sheepbarn Lane and return via Biggin Hill, Tatsfield, Chelsham and Selsdon?”

“tb, I think that's the first time I've ever mentioned New Addington? Besides, I commend LB Croydon for housing the travelling community there. A friendly stroll along King Henry's Drive is lovely to experience the aroma of all the lucky heather in the process of being made. Along with other smells of 'incense' I assume? :o)”

“12:38 is the most popular time as those who are at work have had 38 minutes to eat their lunch and 22 minutes of lunch hour left to use the work PC to search for a new job.

12:47 is apparently the most popular time to give up the new year's resolution about stopping swearing”

“Crease2000 - seems about right to me! You forgot to add: "Will just sign on for the next 12 months and sponge off everyone else anyways"

The figures sound like rubbish to me, what makes the first Tuesday so special?”

“It's true. The residents of New Addington got up from their sofa's after watching Jeremy Kyle to look out of their windows for a job. No luck this year :(”
