Trialist Banton offered Palace contract
CRYSTAL Palace have handed a contract to trialist Jason Banton until the end of the season.
The youngster has played in all the Eagles' U21 development matches so far this season and has impressed.
Having started his youth career at Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, he moved to Blackburn Rovers but his stay at Ewood Park was shortlived.
At the start of 2011, he was offered a contract after a successful trial at Liverpool.

However, he was on the move again that summer when he signed a one-year deal with Leicester City. But he was soon sent out on loan to League Two side Burton Albion in September that year.
He then tried his luck in the United States with the Seattle Sounders before returning home to the United Kingdom.
Banton made his Palace debut against Liverpool in August for the U21s and has now been rewarded for his persistence in south London.
