CLEAN TEAM: The team of volunteers who, armed with litter-pickers and bin liners, helped tidy up Coulsdon Coppice
The coppice, home to ancient woodland, orchids and badgers, has been neglected in recent years and suffers from litter and overgrown brambles.
The friends aim to restore the woodland to a point at which nature can flourish and a place which locals can enjoy.
The next clearing session will take place at 10am on Sunday. New volunteers are welcome. Contact Councillor Chris Wright on 01737 555581 for details.
