Warning for motorists to look out for badgers
MOTORISTS are being urged to take care along a busy road after a spate of accidents involving badgers.
Three badgers were killed in a single day on Old Farleigh Road, in Selsdon, last week.
This has led the East Surrey Badger Protection Society to issue a warning to motorists, urging them to take more care when using the road.
Raymond Ings, from the society, said: "February is the worst month for accidents involving badgers, as the male ones in particular go out looking for mates.
"Old Farleigh Road is home to a lot of good, healthy badger sets.
"If you do run over a badger, call the police and they will notify us."
