Warnock slams Danns' shocking miss
EAGLES manager Neil Warnock believes Neil Danns' horror miss cost Palace all three points against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.
Warnock watched his side's impressive run of form grind to a halt at Selhurst Park as Rovers secured their first away win of the season with a 3-0 victory.

Neil Danns watches amazed as his effort goes wide of the target
However, the Eagles wasted two glorious chances inside the first 20 minutes that would have put them into a winning position.
Top scorer Darren Ambrose couldn't force the ball over the line from a yard out after Victor Moses shot had been saved by Neil Sullivan, but it was Danns' shocking miss just minutes earlier that really had Warnock fuming.
The midfielder was inside the six yard box and had the whole goal at his mercy after Jose Fonte's shot had been parried away, but somehow he managed to side foot wide of the target.
"The only thing I could think of was that Dannsy must have had a bet on not scoring," said Warnock. "That's the only way I thought he could have missed at the time.
"There's no other way to explain it. When you look at it, it just gets worse every time you see it.
"But goals win games, we score two in that opening period and we win the game, but in the end they score first and they win easily."
Palace will look to get back on track when they travel to Reading tomorrow night.

“Lee,
I bow to your far superior knowledge as you are a dedicated fan and see the goings on on a more regular basis than i. Unfortunately for you, Neil Warnock is the Manager, therefore the players will be answerable to him. He in turn would be answerable to your favourite Chairman Mr Jordan. Since Palace find themselves up the creek without a paddle at the moment it is unlikely that the Chairman, given his past record on commenting on anything Crystal Palace will not criticise his Manager as he is the one who has taken the club to where it is now. In your opinion and it is as valid as the next mans he has made mistakes. He is however the man in charge and as it currently stands he in his own words is buzzing with excitement at the moment to be at Palace. I'm no NW fan, however he is doing an ok job with extremely limited resources. I fear that January will bring an exodus of players and if the Standard is right those players if not paid have a right to move on a free, then the situation will be compounded even more.”

“Roger & the Man from Exeter,
If it is ok for Negative Neil to crtiticise the players, why doesn`t he come out & criticise himself this season for some of his Shocking team Selections. especially not playing our talented youngsters on a regular basis & when he does, drops them if they have a bad game & for leaving Clynne on the bench all season, Negative Neil should be Hung, Drawn & Quartered.”

“Neil warnock was correct in stating the Danns miss it was pathetic from a full time pro footballer. However that appears to be the least of the problems at the club.Lets hope their is a Crystal Palace football club next May.”

“Roger, probably because in most other careers and jobs, if someone does a bad job or something wrong, management don't rollock them in front of the whole work force, they do it behind closed doors.
I personally liken it to that - it firstly shows some respect, and doesn't belittle the person in question, which can only undermine them, and potentially allow them to lose respect for you and your poor man management skills.
That's my thoughts, but maybe I'm wrong!
That's the way management works; dealing with people in the correct way, even in difficult circumstances you are meant to be the one who leads by example and hence why not just anyone should be a manager.”

“Why can the manager not say what he wants. Danns miss was as he said shocking. Players can say what they like, as do their agents but a manager has to keep quiet? i don't get it. It doesn't mean he's lost faith in the player, or are Palace players that good that they can't be criticised?”
