A WATER engineer has gone to Bangladesh to see how money raised by his company is being spent to improve water supplies in the country.

Sutton and East Surrey Water has raised funds for the charity WaterAid for around 25 years.

The staff's fundraising efforts have raised nearly £350,000, and since it launched an appeal campaign with customers in 1993 a further £700,000 has gone into the charity's coffers.

Jeremy Heath is joining fundraisers from 11 other water companies to see projects to provide safe water and sanitation.
