Woman arrested in Croydon as part of animal rights extremism probe
A WOMAN has been arrested in Croydon as part of an investigation into animal rights extremism.
Counter-terrorism officers arrested the woman at a house in Croydon on suspicion of conspiracy to blackmail.
She has been taken to a police station in south London where she remains in custody.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command are searching the house and another address in central London.

In Amsterdam, officers from the Dutch National Crime Squad have arrested a man and a woman, both 25, as part of the investigation.
Police said the arrests marked a "significant development" in a long-running investigation into alleged criminal activity across Europe, let by the Met and supported by the police authorities in the Netherlands.
