Workers do their bit for BBC appeal
STAFF from Allianz Global Assistance were doing their bit behind the scenes again during this year's BBC Children in Need appeal.
Around 130 volunteers spent hours in their call centre at the company's headquarters in George Street, Croydon, taking phone pledges. At the end of the evening, the team had logged around £62,000 worth of pledges.
Employees who volunteered were entertained throughout the evening by balloonists and face painters who kept everybody in high spirits.
Staff were also rewarded for their hard work with a massage and a manicure, while Saracens rugby player Justin Melck popped in to wish all of the volunteers good luck and help man the phones.
