Young New Addington couple killed in crash with van

TRAGIC LOSS: Amiee Phipps and Luke Maskell
A young New Addington couple have been killed in a head-on crash with a van.
Amiee Newton, 16, and 20-year-old boyfriend Luke Maskell died when their Renault collided with the Citroen van on Saturday morning.
Luke lived in Wolsey Crescent while former Addington High pupil Amiee was from Homestead Way.
The crash occurred in Shire Road, Farnborough, at around 9.20am.
Ambulance and fire crews rushed to the scene but Amiee and Luke were pronounced dead at the scene.
The 61-year-old driver of the van was taken to the Princess Royal University Hospital, in Farnborough, with injuries to his ribs, chest and arms.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call the Collision Investigation Unit at Catford Traffic Garage on 020 8285 1574
