Fire crews were at the scene of a blaze in Woodside for more than an hour-and-a-half yesterday (Saturday) morning.

Firefighters were called to a terraced home in Northcote Road at 9.30am and only left just after 11am.

More than 20 firefighters and four fire engines were sent to tackle the blaze which was confined to the first floor.

A London Fire Brigade spokesman said no one was injured in the fire, which left the home with 40 per cent fire damage.

He added that the cause of the fire was unknown.
