Breaking news: Palace consider Thomas swoop

Thursday, July 02, 2009, 09:26

Crystal Palace are weighing up a Bosman swoop for former Portsmouth forward Jerome Thomas.

The ex-Charlton man has been released by the Premier League club and is on the look out for a new club.

Despite the captures of Darren Ambrose on a free transfer and Freddie Sears on a season-long loan from West Ham, Neil Warnock is desperate to bolster his forward line.

And speaking to the Advertiser last night (Wednesday), the Eagles manager confessed he may consider launching a move for the forward.

"His agent has contacted us so we are aware of his availability.

"Obviously our priority remains bringing in a player who can play through the middle - but Thomas is an option."
