Fonte: No old pals act for Clinton
Fonte and Morrison struck up a good friendship before the Republic of Ireland striker departed Selhurst Park in the summer for Championship rivals Coventry City.
And the Tooting-born striker faces Palace for the first time since his move in Saturday's clash at the Ricoh Arena.
But Fonte insists he will hand Morrison no friendly favours when the pals go head to head.
He told the Advertiser: “I’m looking forward to seeing Clinton on Saturday - he is a real character.
“He was a good friend while he was here and he has been doing well recently.
“But we are both professionals - he will want to score against me and, if I play, I want to stop him.
“We can’t be friends during the game."
He joked: “I know he won’t stop talking during the game - he doesn’t stop moaning.”
