Midfielder's pain in the neck

Monday, April 06, 2009, 14:46

John Oster will miss the visit of Coventry City tomorrow (Tuesday) with a neck injury.

The former Reading and Everton midfielder was a surprise exclusion from the match-day squad that secured a 0-0 draw at QPR on Saturday.

And Palace boss Neil Warnock told the Advertiser that the Wales midfielder will miss the return of Clinton Morrison: "John Oster has a neck problem - he can't turn his head. He will miss Coventry."

Clint Hill is doubtful for the Championship clash after picking up a dead leg in the draw at Loftus Road, while fellow defender Paddy McCarthy is still at least a week away from full fitness after shoulder surgery.
