Charlie Brooks' 'blessed' soap work

EastEnders star Charlie Brooks has said she feels "blessed" to be back on the soap.

The 27-year-old actress returned to Albert Square at the end of last year after almost five years away from the show.

Charlie said on This Morning: "I'm so happy. I feel blessed to have a job in the current economic climate and things are falling into place for me."

She continued: "I love the EastEnders cast. I was 17 when I first joined and a lot has changed since then, but Janine is still as fun to play."

The actress - who plays feisty Janine Butcher - also revealed she thinks her four-year-old daughter Kiki may grow up to be an actress too.

Charlie said: "She's a real drama queen... I think she may follow in her mum's footsteps!"
