Police are investigating after a man's body was found at a house in Shirley.
The death of the man in his 40s is being treated as "unexplained" and another man in his 40s has been arrested.
The Advertiser understands that charges are unlikely to follow, however, and that the deceased male is believed to have died of a heart attack.
London Ambulance Service paramedics called in police at around 6.30am this morning (Friday) to the address in Aldersmead Avenue.
Police officers have been at the scene for most of today and a post mortem has been arranged for Monday at Croydon Mortuary.
