Music legends Take That are currently filming a video in Croydon.

The man band are in Gurney Crescent, Waddon, this afternoon (Wednesday) which has been closed off to the public.

It seems the band were hoping to secretly film the video without anyone realising they were in the borough.

Tarpaulin is covering the entrance to the road and as many as 11 security guards are in place to ensure filming runs smoothly.

A street party scene is being filmed and, when asked what he thought of being in Croydon, the band's Howard Donald told the Advertiser: "It's great. The street's brilliant and everybody's been really friendly."

Adults and children are seated at a long table, with music blaring out of loud speakers and Union Jack flags decked out in the road.

Our reporter at the scene said: "Colourful bunting is hanging off of various houses, balloons are in the street and there are big film lights and crew in the street.

"Jason Orange has just walked past me but hardly anyone seems to have known about this."
