Warnock: I won't be rushed into striker move

Friday, August 22, 2008, 11:41

Eagles boss Neil Warnock will not be rushed into buying a new striker despite Palace's seemingly lightweight attack.

Palace have failed to score in both of their opening two Championship matches and the Eagles boss has publicly spoken of his desire to bolster his attacking options.

The Advertiser exclusively revealed this week that the former Sheffield United chief is looking at the possibility of bringing Fulham misfit Collins John to Selhurst Park, while rumours regarding Blades striker Danny Webber and a possible move to south London have once again resurfaced.

But the Palace boss says despite his side's goalscoring problems, he will not rush into any potential moves.

He said: "I'm not going to be panicked into anything - yes we are looking for a striker or two but we've already got a good squad at the club."
