Three people have been charged with the murder of lab technician Tony Fernandes.

The 46-year-old was stabbed in his own home in Windmill Road, Broad Green, on Tuesday night.

The three people charged are Paul Maddix, 43, of no fixed abode, Darren Liston, 25, of no fixed abode, and a 15-year-old boy, from Croydon, who cannot be named because of his age.

All three have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court today (Saturday).

A post mortem ruled that Mr Fernandes died of multiple stab wounds.
