“i am happy to support my local shops, but find sometimes they are not price competetive with nearby selsdon and purley for takeaway.
i am hoping there have been some improvements to the food as there was a decline in the freshness of salad and the donor meat,it always seemed to be at the end,so all you got was little bits containing too much fat.
i think it is a much needed refurb and will be welcomed if the right changes have been made.”

“Myself thinks that if you spend £20 or more you should get a low price starter free, Rather than a bottle of pepsi. In time you would make your profit with regular customers and everyone is happy.!
    Just a thought :)”

    “Hi Mickey_B

It's not grim at all, Favourite Grill has been a part of Sanderstead for 16 years. It has had a complete refurb and we hope to see some new faces as well as our existing loyal customers who we have catered to for many years. We need to support our local small businesses to ensure their future.

    Thanks :)”

    “Hi nicecityboy :)

The Doner is made with minced Lamb which is marinated with spices and herbs then rolled into balls. The chef then stacks the balls on to the skewer which is then cooked on the spit. Once the chef has cut the cooked first layer in long strips, the Doner takes on its smooth traditional shape that we are all familiar with.

The charcoaled meats are shoulders of lamb which is cut in to pieces then marinated and put on small skewers called shish and the chicken shish are diced whole chicken breast which is also marinated and cooked on the charcoal grill.

Our chicken burgers are also whole pieces of chicken breast coated in a special flour.

If you would like to learn more you can certainly pop in and ask our chef's how it is done. These traditional methods and recipes have been around for decades. You would be sure to taste the difference between factory made Doner's and the freshly made on the premises Doner's.

As they say...Fresh is always best! :)”
