Lovely Food

I have been to Picasso on quite a few occasions and the food has always been excellent. They have great Spanish variety on the menu and the tapas is delicious! The manager is lovely and always very welcoming. It's a nice atmosphere and they do not disappoint. I will definitely be going back there again!

A taste of Spain on your doorstep.

One of the longest established restaurants in Croydon is celebrating 20 years of delighting the public with its outstanding Spanish cuisine.

Pepe's favoured restaurant has maintained its position as top of the dining out circuit for two decades, and continues to be a delight to diners old and new.

Tucked away in Thornton Heath, Picasso offers a true taste of the Mediterranean and boasts the best tasting calamari this side of Barcelona.

The attentive waiter made us feel extremely welcome, handing us the eatery's extensive menu to peruse.

If you normally find yourself stuck for choice – there is no chance of that happening at Picasso.

From fresh, gorgeous fish and mussels to juicy lamb and steak and a huge choice of smaller tapas dishes, there is something to suit every mood.

The mouth-watering list of food reads like a good book, and I couldn't wait to get stuck in.

My friend chose Mejillones Provenzale to start – that's mussels cooked in tomato and garlic to you and I.

I then went for their famous Calamares Fritos and discovered the waiter was not joking when he'd previously boasted of their superiority.

It's this consistent high quality that has earned Picasso its rightful place in the heart of discerning diners.

For the main course, my companion chose to tuck in to the Lamb Cutlets with garlic and lemon.

I was lucky enough to sneak a bite of this tender, melt-in-the-mouth meat and began to worry I'd made the wrong decision.

However, when my sea bream was placed in front of me and my eyes widened to take the glorious fish in, I knew I was just being silly.

Every bite was perfection, right from the buttery, garlic sauce to the plump, juicy flesh.

I honestly believe you would struggle to find this fishy dreamboat's match on the shores of Mallorca.

Despite being comfortably full and feeling utterly satisfied, neither of us could resist ordering a sweet from the sumptuous dessert menu.

Being a chocoholic, I went for the profiteroles generously coated with sexy, gorgeous dark chocolate and stuffed with delicious cream.

Picasso - A legendary quality, top notch Spanish restaurant

“Picasso is such a quality Spanish restaurant. The owner Pepe is such a class act and a good egg. Picasso is such a long standing, well known restaurant. Genuinely top notch spanish food. It is in Norbury (The old neighbourhood) for most of us that have moved South....however it is time you popped in, or made a special visit. I love it there, so welcoming, such great food... so much choice! Really buzzing at christmas, weve had some good nights in there. Check it out”
