Jennie Garth - who plays Kelly Taylor - will return as a mum to four-year-old son Sammy, whose paternity is unknown for now. There are hints that his real father is either sweetheart Brandon (Jason Priestley) or the brooding Dylan McKay (Luke Perry), both of whom Kelly has had relationships with.
While the true baby daddy is being kept a mystery, the 36-year-old actress knows exactly who she would choose.
"If I had to choose between Brandon and Dylan, which I've had to do so many times, I think it's be more interesting if it were Dylan's baby because he carries a lot more baggage," she told TV Guide.
But things aren't as easy as they could be. The tot's curly blond locks means he bears the most resemblance to Steve Sanders (Ian Ziering), and the child's name Sammy could also be a nod to Steve's mum, Samantha.
Jennie, the first classic cast member to sign on for the revamped show, revealed why she had no qualms about reprising the role that made her famous.
"I want to give the show the credit it's due for giving me my start, so I couldn't turn my back on it. And the girls now look a hell of a lot better than the guys," she added.
