Eagles snap up former Ipswich Town and Queens Park Rangers defender
CRYSTAL Palace have secured the free signature of defender Damien Delaney on transfer deadline-day.
Eagles boss Dougie Freedman has been searching for further signings this week in both defence and attack, and the experienced Delaney, who was released by the Tractor Boys recently, goes straight into tomorrow's squad for the visit of Sheffield Wednesday.
The manager's business is not expected to end there with a number of attacking players currently on the radar. And just as Freedman told Advertiser Sport yesterday, any new signings will be in contention for the game against the Owls.
The club have been linked with Swansea City hitman Leroy Lita in the last 24 hours, while Freedman told Advertiser Sport that no enquiry has been made for QPR's DJ Campbell following speculation earlier this week.

He also scotched rumours of any links with Campbell's team-mate Jay Bothroyd and Reading's Simon Church.
Should Freedman miss out on any potential targets, it is likely he will go into the loan market during the international week and ahead of the south London derby with Charlton in two weeks.
