No support for gay advisory police group
A lack of local support could see the closure of a police group representing members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.
Aurora, which works to bring LGBT issues to the attention of the Croydon Police Community Group, is holding a meeting on September 9 where a motion to close will be debated.
The group, which has been going for over five years, has provided a forum for the borough's LGBT community to meet with the police to discuss matters of common interest.
The meeting is being held at 7pm at the Town Hall in Katharine Street and if enough new people turn up the group could still be saved.
