East Croydon church looks forward to its big move

Tuesday, August 19, 2008, 18:46

A church is moving from its East Croydon home to bigger and better premises this weekend.

The Potters House Church, formerly based at the Fairfield Hotel, in Lansdowne Road, is now based at 374 Brigstock Road, Thornton Heath.

It will be celebrating the move with a performance of a free play Heaven's Gate, Hell's Flame at 7.30pm from this Sunday until Tuesday (August 26).

Pastor Clement Okusi, head of the church, said: "This is fantastic news for us because we now have a permanent base and don't have to worry about booking space and fitting round other functions at the hotel. The play deals with subjects around good and evil and crime and should appeal to all ages."
