W hatever happened to all those people you knew at school and the friendships you thought would last forever?

The Mitre Players are heading down memory lane in the cult musical Is There Life After High School? to find out.

First staged in 1982, before mobile phones and social networking was just a mouse click away, this funny and touching musical explores what happens when you get that invitation to a school reunion and the only way to answer those questions is to go along and find out.

Director Di Jones describes it as a grown-up musical and says audiences will identify with it because the situations are so familiar.

She said: " We've all been there.

"It takes you back and makes you laugh about your teenage years, about friendships you thought would last forever and the things that seemed so important when you were young."

It's a nostalgic rollercoaster ride through the form rooms and behind the bike sheds of our supposedly happiest days featuring great music, a clever script, fabulously funny songs and moments of poignancy.

Colin Warnock is the musical director and the cast of nine, who each play multiple roles, includes Olivia Beckwith, Ian Brown, Chris Chambers, Katy Davies, David Elder, Megan Harries-Rees, Kevin Hayes, Karen Rapps and Fiona Robertson.

Audiences should note that there is some adult language in the show.
